We are Send Shipping Insurance.

We are here to support you, the customer, in the event of any issues that may arise while your order is on its way to you. Insurance must be purchased at the time of checkout and cannot be added after your order has been completed. If your purchase has arrived damaged or has been lost in transit, please file a claim within 14 business days from delivery. We’re here to support you, taking on what can be an unnecessarily complicated and stressful claims process with carriers and retailers, so that you don’t have to.

A damaged item is considered to be an irreparably broken product that is clearly fractured, shattered, bent, crushed, or rendered unusable due to shipping conditions. Send Shipping Insurance may contact the retailer to determine if the product is unusable.


-If an item is spilled or broken and needs to be disposed of (i.e. shattered glass, chemicals, etc.), please check with your city ordinances for proper and safe disposal. Typically the customer does not need to ship it back to the retailer (unless the retailer specifies otherwise).

-If your item arrives damaged, unusable, or otherwise in unacceptable condition, we invite you to submit a claim on our site right away. Please remember to include pictures of the item(s) and its packaging.

-All claims must be filed within 14 days from the date it was marked as delivered.

-Send Shipping does not cover cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.), manufacturing damages, defects, packaging errors, or unsealed items. At our discretion, we may offer a partial refund depending on the severity of the cosmetic damage.

-In the event of live material (plants, etc.) perishing due to stress in transit, we will contact the retailer to determine claim eligibility (if the product was packaged safely before it left, etc.).

-Send Shipping Insurance will either refund the cost of the item(s), issue a partial refund, or replace your order with the same item from the retailer. Shipping costs, taxes, custom and duty fees, and the Send Shipping Insurance premiums are not eligible for refunds.

-Refunds can only go to the original form of payment. If that is no longer an option, store credit with the original retailer will be arranged.

-Send Shipping does not cover cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, etc.), manufacturing damages, packaging errors, or unsealed items. At our discretion, we may offer a partial refund depending on the severity of the cosmetic damage.


NOTE: We do not cover packages lost to potential theft after an order has been delivered to its destination. Please contact your shipping carrier to open an investigation. If you are concerned about potential theft, we recommend that you contact the carrier prior to delivery and request that a signature be required for delivery.

While evaluating claims, Send Shipping may require additional documentation (e.g. more photos, proof of identity, address, etc.).
